About · Test Hunters
Korean, in clear English
We teach the Korean English speakers actually need — Hangul, short lessons, and the sentences you can say tonight. No account required.
Who we are
Test Hunters is an independent Korean-learning site for people who already speak English. We live in Korea, we hear the mistakes English speakers make, and we write the explanations we wished we had on day one.
The name started with test prep. The work now is simpler: help you read Hangul, say a useful sentence, and know why it sounds that way.
What we believe
Most beginner Korean is either a wall of charts or a phrasebook with no sound. We keep each sitting short. One grammar point. A few words. Sentences you can reuse in a café, on the subway, or with a new friend.
Polite -요 comes first. Casual speech comes later. Titles matter more than first names. We say that plainly, with examples — not a 40-row honorific table.
Hangul, then Beginner 1. Words, sentences, and grammar in one sitting.
Listen, record in your browser, and reuse the same lines.
Particles, batchim, and titles — short reads when you’re stuck.
Who this is for
Absolute beginners, people who learned Hangul once and froze, and travelers who want café and subway Korean before they land. If you already read comfortably, the guides and blog still help with the sounds English skips.
We are not a university, a visa office, or a replacement for a tutor. We are a clear path you can start today.
How to reach us
Questions about a lesson, a correction, or the site itself — write through the contact page. We read every message.
Greetings if you’re new. A placement check if you’re not sure. Either way, you’ll know what to do next.
